[Free Data Download & Acoustic Analysis] Calculation of the Impact of Sound Bridge

For efficient design with minimal rework.

When looking at textbooks on acoustical engineering and architectural acoustics, you will find descriptions stating that doubling the walls is effective for enhancing sound insulation. Of course, this method is very effective, but there is one often-overlooked point: it is very difficult to make the two walls independent, so in reality, the two walls are installed through a common pillar, causing vibrations from one wall to be transmitted to the other. This phenomenon is called a sound bridge and is one of the major factors that prevent sound insulation performance from improving as expected. Here, we will introduce the basic principles of sound insulation with double walls and the effectiveness of an acoustic CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) approach to examining sound bridges. - Theory of double walls - Sound bridge If you are interested in acoustic design, please take a moment to read this. [Free Download of Materials - Acoustic Analysis] Noise Control

A Comparative Study of Numerical Acoustic Analysis and Acoustic Measurement

The subject of analysis is "Universal Mist," designed and developed by Maruyama Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Maruyama Manufacturing). The entry model of Universal Mist, "MUM602," allows for intermittent operation via timer control, is lightweight, and does not require water supply work as it connects directly to a water source. The main unit connects to a water supply hose and a drainage hose, and by attaching a mist nozzle to the drainage hose, mist is generated from that nozzle. During operation, the pump mechanism produces operational noise. Since it is used in various locations, we considered noise reduction measures for Universal Mist to create a comfortable space while being mindful of the sound environment. - Formulation of noise reduction measures aimed at reducing noise - Experiments to understand the phenomenon - Analysis model and boundary conditions - Evaluation of analysis results - Summary of analysis results for the current model - Validation of the model - Consideration of measures aimed at noise reduction - Installing a barrier between the opening and the sound source If you are interested in noise control or acoustic design, please take a look.
